Garrard County does not operate its own jail and has an agreement with Jessamine County. The Jessamine County Detention Center is a minimum security facility located in Nicholasville, Kentucky. The facility houses both female and male inmates who have been arrested on misdemeanor or felony charges and are awaiting trial. It also houses convicted inmates serving 12 months or less in jail. It also houses some inmates from the Kentucky Department of Corrections. Inmate information can be viewed through an online roster. Inmates are allowed access to educational and religious programs. How to Send Mail or Package

Inmates can receive digital copies of mail from friends and family. Any incoming mail will be inspected for contraband. Mail should be addressed to the inmate and must include their booking number. If you do not know the booking number, please contact the jail.

Money orders can be mailed or delivered to the jail to be deposited into inmates’ accounts. Money can be deposited online through CorrectPay or over the phone at 855-836-3364.

Visitation Hours

Visits with inmates must be scheduled in advance and can be done so by calling 866-281-2316. Visitation with male inmates is Sunday-Friday. Visitation with female inmates is Monday-Saturday.

The Jessamine County Detention Center has an online roster of inmates. This roster includes information about the arrest date, inmate’s age and description, and the arresting agency.
