The Grant County Detention Center is a minimum security facility located in Williamstown, Kentucky. The facility houses both female and male inmates who have been arrested on misdemeanor or felony charges and are awaiting trial. It also houses convicted inmates serving 12 months or less in jail. It also houses some inmates from the Kentucky Department of Corrections. Inmates have access to educational programs, counseling programs, and addiction programs. Troy Hagedorn is the Jailer.

How to Send Mail or Package

Inmates can receive letters from their friends and family while in jail. Any incoming mail will be inspected for contraband. Mail should be addressed to the inmate and must include their ID number. If you do not know the ID number, please contact the jail.

Visitation Hours

Visitation is done through video, either onsite or remotely. Inmates are allowed one free 20-minute onsite visits per week. Onsite visits can be scheduled daily except Wednesday, from 8 am to 8 pm. Remote visits are paid and also must be scheduled in advance.

The Grant County Detention Center maintains an online roster of current inmates. Information about the inmates includes the charges, any bonds, description of the inmate, and the arrest date.
