The Jackson County Detention Center is a minimum security facility located in McKee, Kentucky. The facility houses both female and male inmates who have been arrested on misdemeanor or felony charges and are awaiting trial. It also houses convicted inmates serving 12 months or less in jail. It also houses some inmates from the Kentucky Department of Corrections. Inmate information can be viewed through an online roster. Inmates are allowed access to educational and counseling programs. How to Send Mail or Package

Inmates can receive digital copies of mail from friends and family. Any incoming mail will be inspected for contraband. Mail should be addressed to the inmate and must include their booking number. If you do not know the booking number, please contact the jail.

Visitation Hours

Inmates are allowed two 30-minute visits per week, but it cannot be the same visitor. Visitation for female inmates is Friday, from 4:30 pm to 7:50 pm. Visits for male inmates are on Saturday (for last names A-M) and Sunday (last names N-Z) from 9 am to 3:20 pm.

The Jackson County Detention Center has an online roster of inmates. This roster includes information about the arrest date, inmate’s age and description, and the arresting agency.
