How to Send Mail or Package

Inmates are allowed to receive mail from their friends and family while incarcerated. All mail must be sent with a returning address on the envelope. All mail is inspected for contraband. If contraband is found, the letter will be returned to the sender or handed over to the local law enforcement agency.

Money can be added to an inmate’s commissary account using the kiosk in the front lobby. Money can also be added using the CareACell website. The website accepts credit and debit cards.

Visitation Hours

Inmates can visit with friends and family onsite or online. All inmates are allowed 2 twenty minute visits per week onsite. Visitation is Monday through Friday from 9am to 4:30pm and Saturday and Sunday from 12pm to 4pm.

Online visitation is through the InmateSales website. An account must be made and visits must be scheduled 24 hours in advance. Online visits cost 40 cents per minute.

The County Jail has an inmate jail roster available for the public to view. The roster lists all current inmates housed in the jail. Inmates can be searched by their first and last name. The jail roster lists the inmate’s full name, birth date, booking date, arresting agency, bond amount, and charges they were arrested for.

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office has a most wanted list. The office lists the name of the person wanted, a picture of the person, and what they are wanted for. The most wanted list is on their Facebook page.

The request for public inspection of records can be hand delivered, mailed or emailed to the Sheriff’s Office. Applicants for the inspection of public records shall be advised of the availability of the records requested for inspection, and shall be notified in writing not later than five (5) business days after receipt of an application for inspection of any reason the records requested are not available for public inspection.
