The Pulaski County Jail is a minimum security facility located in Somerset, Kentucky. The county jail houses both male and female offenders, either county, state, or federal inmates, who have been arrested and charged with either misdemeanor or felony offenses. All inmates being held at the county jail are either serving their sentences, awaiting trial, cannot afford bond, or do not have a bond set. Inmates arrested by the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, Somerset Police Department, Burnside Police Department, Science Hill Police Department, Eubank Police Department, Ferguson Police Department, and the Kentucky State Police are transported to the Pulaski County Jail.

How to Send Mail or Package
Inmates are allowed to receive mail from their friends and family while incarcerated. All incoming mail must be addressed with the Inmate name and Inmate ID and have a return address on the envelope. All incoming mail must be in the form of a letter or postcard. All mail is opened and inspected for contraband. If contraband is found, the mail will be destroyed. Inmates are allowed five photos in their cells. All other photos will be returned to the sender or may be placed in the inmate’s property at the discretion of detention center staff.
