Trigg County does not have their own jail. When someone is arrested in Trigg County, they are transported to the Christian County Jail. The Christian County Jail is a medium security facility located in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. The jail houses inmates who have been arrested for misdemeanor or felony charges. The county jail is co-ed, with female and male inmates separated in different pods. The inmates held at the county jail are awaiting trial, have been convicted and serving their sentence, or cannot bond out. Inmates may take advantage of rehabilitative programs designed to aid in the return to society. The Christian County Jail meets all standards needed to operate under the laws of Kentucky. Although Trigg County does not have their own jail, they do have a jailer who is responsible for transporting inmates to the Christian County Jail, as well as transporting them back and forth to court. How to Send Mail or Package
Inmates are allowed to receive mail from their friends and family while incarcerated. All incoming mail must be addressed with the Inmate name and Inmate ID and have a return address on the envelope. All mail is opened and inspected for contraband. If contraband is found, the mail will be destroyed.
Inmates may also receive newspapers, but they must be sent by a mailed subscription, not by a friend or family member.
