Ludlow police officers transport individuals who have been arrested in the city to the Kenton County Jail, also known as the Kenton County Detention Center. The Kenton County Detention Center is a minimum security jail located in the County. The county jail books both male and females and can house up to 650 inmates. Roughly 300 inmates are booked a month and can be viewed on the jail roster. The inmates who are being held at the jail have been arrested and charged with either misdemeanor or felony crimes and are federal, state, or county inmates. Inmates are serving sentences, awaiting trial, do not have a bond, or cannot afford to pay their bond.

The Kenton County Detention Center utilizes online and video visitation. Visitors must have valid photo identification and must schedule the visit 24 hours in advance. Minors are not allowed to visit on weekdays. Minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. The online visitation is scheduled through the CPCjail website.

Visitation hours are as follows:

All dorms, except 102, 104 and 107, onsite video visitation: Wednesday and Friday 8am to 11am and 1pm to 2:30pm. Online/remote visitation: 11am to 3pm and 5pm to 10:40pm daily.
