How to Send Mail or Package

Inmates are allowed to receive letters and postcards from their loved ones while incarcerated. Mail can be sent to the inmate using their full name and the booking number, which can be obtained by contacting the jail.

Visitation Hours

Inmates can visit with their loved ones during their time of incarceration. Everyone who wishes to visit must be on the approved visitors list. Inmates are allowed 1 thirty minute visit per week, and it must be scheduled in advance. Rules for visitation are the following:

NO SMOKING
OUT OF RESPECT FOR OTHERS, PLEASE CONTROL YOUR CHILDREN WHILE VISITING
ALL PICTURES AND LETTERS MUST BE MAILED IN TO THE JAIL
ANY CLOTHING THAT IS ALLOWED MAY BE DROPPED OFF AT ANY TIME
MONEY MAY BE LEFT AT ANY TIME
PHONE CARDS MAY BE PURCHASED IN THE LOBBY OF THE JAIL

Visitation hours for females are Mondays and Saturdays from 9am to 11:30am.
Visitation hours for males are Mondays and Saturdays from 12pm to 3:30pm.

Allen County Public Records Information

Copies of public records, such as marriage licenses, deeds, and others can be purchased at the Allen County Clerk’s Office. A record request form is available for download. Once the form is completed it can be returned to the clerk’s office. There is a fee of 50 cents per page, or $5 for certified copies.

The county also offers online records through a website called CCLIX. With CCLIX, users can now view or print the documents filed by the county. An account is needed to search for records.
