Inmates are allowed 2 visits per week with their friends and family. Every visitor must present a valid photo identification card. Visitors can also sign up for remote visitation. Contact the jail for more information on visitation hours.

Knott County is located in the eastern region of the state of Kentucky. The county was founded in 1884 and is named after the governor of Kentucky, James Proctor Knott. The county covers a total of 353 square miles. According to the 2020 census, the population was 14,251. The largest city and the county seat is Hindman.
