How to Send Mail or Package

Mail can be sent to inmates being held at the county jail. All incoming mail must be addressed with the inmate name and inmate ID number. A return address must be present on the envelope. Corrections officers inspect every letter coming into the county jail for contraband. If contraband is found, it will be either returned to the sender or handed over to the local authorities for an investigation.

Visitation Hours

Inmates are allowed to visit with their friends and family while incarcerated. The Securus Technologies website offers online video visitation. There is a fee associated with visitation. An account must be made to view the facility’s visitation hours.

It was named for Beriah Magoffin who was Governor of Kentucky. The county covers a total of 309 square miles. According to the latest census, the population of the county is approximately 13,500.
