Visitation Hours

Inmates are allowed both video and onsite visitations. Onsite visitations are limited to two 20 minute visits a week and must be scheduled in advance. Visitation hours are Monday through Wednesday and Friday and Saturday from 8am to 11am and from noon to 4pm, and Thursdays from 8am to 11am, noon to 4pm, and 5pm to 7pm.

Inmates can have unlimited video visits using a 3rd party provider, Securus. An account is needed and the visitor will have to submit a photo and government issued ID for approval. Once the visitor is approved, visits can be scheduled online.

The jail provides a roster that lists all current inmates. The public can search for a person using their first and last name. The date the inmate was booked, their current charges, and a mugshot is made viewable.

The Barren County Sheriff’s Office has developed a highly trained, efficient, and professional law enforcement agency and strives to provide outstanding service to the citizens of Barren County. All arrests made by the Sheriff or deputies of the office are transported to the Barren County Detention Center.

Barren County Public Records Information

A request to inspect public police and incident reports can be submitted to the Sheriff’s Office. The request is online.

All other public records can be obtained by contacting the county clerk’s office. A record request form is available for download. Once the form is completed it can be hand-delivered, emailed, faxed. or sent via mail to the clerk’s office.
