Henry County does not operate its own jail but has an agreement with Oldham County. The Oldham County Detention Center is a minimum security facility located in La Grange, Kentucky. The facility houses both female and male inmates who have been arrested on misdemeanor or felony charges and are awaiting trial. It also houses convicted inmates serving 12 months or less in jail. It also houses some inmates from the Kentucky Department of Corrections. Inmate information can be viewed through an online roster. Inmates are allowed access to educational, work-release, and religious programs. Jeff Tindall is the Jailer for Henry County.

How to Send Mail or Package

Inmates can receive digital copies of mail from friends and family. Any incoming mail will be inspected for contraband. Mail should be addressed to the inmate and must include their booking number. If you do not know the booking number, please contact the jail.

Money for inmates can be deposited online through CorrectPay and over the phone at 855-836-3364. Money orders can also be mailed to the jail. There’s also a kiosk in the jail lobby that accepts cash and credit/debit cards.

Visitation Hours

Inmates are allowed two 40-minute visits per week, and all visits are done through video. Appointments must be scheduled in advance through InmateSales. Visitation is offered daily.

The Henry County Detention Center has an online roster of inmates. This roster includes information about the arrest date, inmate’s age and description, and the arresting agency.
