Visitation Hours

Inmates are allowed to visit with their friends and family twice a week for 30 minutes at a time, Each visitor must present a valid photo identification card. All visits must be scheduled in advance. Contact the jail to schedule a visit.

The Three Forks Regional Jail has an inmate jail roster available for the public to view. The roster lists all current inmates housed in the jail. Inmates can be searched by their first and last name. The jail roster lists the inmate’s full name, birth date, booking date, arresting agency, bond amount, and charges they were arrested for.

Wolfe County Sheriff Information

The Wolfe County Sheriff’s Office is the chief law enforcement agency located in the county. The office is mainly responsible for patrolling the county, preventing crime, and collecting county taxes. The office also makes crash reports, conducts vehicle inspections, and serves civil papers. The current Sheriff is Christopher Carson.

Wolfe County is in the eastern region of the state of Kentucky. The county was founded in March of 1860. The county is made up of land taken from Breathitt County, Morgan County, Owsley County and Powell County. The county covers a total of 223 square miles. According to the 2020 census, the population of the county is roughly 7,000. The largest city and the county seat is Campton.

Wolfe County Public Records Information

Public records for Wolfe County are made available through the Wolfe County Clerk. A records request can be made and delivered to the county clerk. The office provides a generic form that must be completed. If there is no access to the form, a written request will be accepted, which shall include the applicant’s name, phone number, address, list of precise documents being requested, residency of the applicant, and any additional information the applicant deems necessary to help this office fulfill the open records request. Fees for any open records requests must be paid in advance before copies can be obtained. Copies of records cost fifty cents per page. The request must be given to the county clerk. The office has 5 business days to respond to the request.
