The Warren County Jail is a medium security facility located in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The county jail houses both male and female offenders, either county, state, or federal inmates, who have been arrested and charged with either misdemeanor or felony offenses. All inmates being held at the county jail are awaiting trial, have been convicted and serving their sentences, or do not have a bond. The county jail complies with the Kentucky Jail Standards to ensure full compliance. The county jail was first opened in 1987, with a capacity of only 78 inmates. Currently, the jail has upgraded many aspects of the facility, and built on other pods making the total capacity of inmates 562. The current jailer, who oversees the entire operations of the jail is Stephen Harmon.

How to Send Mail or Package

Inmates are allowed to receive mail from their friends and family while incarcerated. The Warren County Jail uses a digital method of delivering mail. The mail will be sent to a 3rd party provider and will be scanned into the system. The mail will then be released to the inmate on a tablet. Letters, pictures, and drawings are accepted for scanning.

Friends and family can add money to an inmate’s commissary account online. The county jail uses 2 third party provider’s called JPay and TouchPay. Visit their websites to add money to an inmate’s account. The facility ID number needed to find the inmate is 242101.

Visitation Hours

Inmates have the right to visit with their friends and family while incarcerated. Visits currently are video visits. Visits can be scheduled online using the third party provider website called Securus. An account must be made ahead of time, and verification of identity must be made. The visit can take place onsite using a kiosk in the visitation room or remotely. Visitation hours are Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 9am to 3pm. If the visit is taking place remotely, the visitation hours are Monday through Sunday from 9am to 11pm. The county jail also offers in person visitation 7 days a week. In person visitation is from 9am to 11am and from 3pm to 4pm.

The Warren County Jail has an inmate jail roster for the public to view. The roster lists all current inmates held in the jail.The jail roster lists the inmate’s full name, birth date, booking date, arresting agency, bond amount, and charges they were arrested for. Inmates can also be searched by their first and last name.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office is the chief law enforcement agency located in the county. The three main responsibilities of the office include law enforcement, serving the court, and collecting county taxes. The office also completes traffic accident reports, processes concealed carry paperwork, and performs vehicle inspections. The office is divided into 9 divisions: patrol, K9, dispatch, court security, animal control, property and evidence, criminal investigations, and records. The current Sheriff is Brett Hightower.
