Visitation Hours

In-person visits can be scheduled once a month, for an hour at a time. Call the jail between 8 am and 3 pm to schedule a visit. Video visits can also be scheduled online at InmateSales, either remotely or onsite. Onsite video visits from the lobby kiosk are free.

The Hart County Detention Center has an online roster of inmates. This roster includes information about the arrest date, inmate’s age and description, and the arresting agency.

Hart County Sheriff Information

The Hart County Sheriff’s Office provides law enforcement services to the residents of Hart County. The Sheriff’s Office works to improve the community by lowering crime and strives to treat all people with respect and fairness. The Sheriff’s Office also handles property tax billing, vehicle inspections, and concealed weapons permits.

The county is located in south central Kentucky and has a population of 19,460 residents. Munfordville is the county seat, and Horse Cave is the largest city in the county.

Hart County Public Records Information

Public records can be obtained by submitting a public records request form to the County Clerk’s Office. Once the form is completed, the request can be hand-delivered, faxed, emailed, or mailed to the office. There is a fee for copies of records.
