The Bullitt County Detention Center is a minimum security facility located in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. The facility houses both female and male inmates who have been arrested on misdemeanor or felony charges and are awaiting trial. It also houses convicted inmates serving 12 months or less in jail. It also houses some inmates from the Kentucky Department of Corrections. Inmate information can be viewed through an online roster. Inmates are allowed access to educational programs. How to Send Mail or Package

Inmates can receive mail from their friends and family while in jail. Any incoming mail will be inspected for contraband. Mail should be addressed to the inmate and must include their booking number. If you do not know the booking number, please contact the jail.

Money for inmates can be deposited via CareaCell online or via phone call. There is a kiosk in the lobby that can be used to deposit money. Money orders are also accepted through the mail.

Visitation Hours

Visitation is allowed through the visitation kiosk in the lobby, Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 3:20 PM.
